PHYZIQUE Pte Ltd is a company set up in June 2008 by owner Abraham Nikhil (Nik). The company was set up after he left Fitness First with a dream to start his own company which specialized in providing personalised fitness services such as personal training and boot camps to his clients. The company quickly expanded its services since it has been around.

Here at PHYZIQUE, we believe in empowering people. We want to help you help yourself. We believe that fitness and health should be a lifestyle and not a chore. We come in to your life to best try and find ways for you to reach your fitness goals as smoothly as possible.

Raja is a established Fitness Coach, Personal Trainer and Yoga Teacher / Instructor whose extensive experience spans 1.5 decades. Since young he has been involved in sports and has represented his school and constituency in various soccer compettitions. Karate was a hobby but soon became involved in club and national tournaments thus winning some which earned him a call-up to represent Singapore in Sea Games and international tournaments. Due to injuries, Raja practiced Yoga to aid recovery but soon taught Yoga as an instructor since early 2000.

He is accredited by Yoga Allainace as ERYT - E500 / T500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher). He had a stint in Malaysia as a Yoga teacher / Invigilator / Mentor to students aspiring to be instructors. Raja’s uses his extensive experience to listen and understand cients' needs and carefully implementing safe and effective training programs. Since carving out a career in the fitness and Yoga industry he has been constanly upgrading himself to keep abreast with latest developments. LIFT WEIGHT TO LOSE WEIGHT

A new study confirms what many discovered long ago - strength training plays an important role in ridding the body of extra weight.

Sure, aerobic exercise burns calories, but the body's metabolism quickly returns to pre-exercise levels, usually within 30 minutes or so.

Resistance training, according to the researchers at Johns Hopkins University, leads to increased calorie burning for up to two hours after the workout is over. Unfortunately, because weight training often results in a corresponding increase in weight due to increased muscle mass, many women abandon their strength-training efforts, opting instead for strictly cardiovascular activities.However, researchers suggest combining aerobic exercise with regular strength training for maximum benefit.
