PHYZIQUE Pte Ltd is a company set up in June 2008 by owner Abraham Nikhil (Nik). The company was set up after he left Fitness First with a dream to start his own company which specialized in providing personalised fitness services such as personal training and boot camps to his clients. The company quickly expanded its services since it has been around.

Here at PHYZIQUE, we believe in empowering people. We want to help you help yourself. We believe that fitness and health should be a lifestyle and not a chore. We come in to your life to best try and find ways for you to reach your fitness goals as smoothly as possible.



Growing up as a chubby kid, activities that involved bodyweight were always too daunting for me. I would watch my friends from the sidelines as they run and jump effortlessly and I could only dream of one day becoming as athletic.

However, after losing 15kg through vigorous participation in various sports such as netball and track and field during my school years, I realized that the sky is my limit. Since then, health and fitness has always been a crucial aspect of my life.

In recent years, I started working out at home and at the gym on a regular basis, which gives me great exposure to the different components of fitness and their training methods. This has sparked an interest in me to explore and innovate workouts to keep myself motivated.

As a FISAF certified trainer, the most important trait about me is the real passion I possess for training. I believe in what I do and will work extremely hard alongside you to help you achieve your fitness goals. In the process, I will ensure that you come out of it a happier, healthier and more confident person.

A new study confirms what many discovered long ago - strength training plays an important role in ridding the body of extra weight.

Sure, aerobic exercise burns calories, but the body's metabolism quickly returns to pre-exercise levels, usually within 30 minutes or so.

Resistance training, according to the researchers at Johns Hopkins University, leads to increased calorie burning for up to two hours after the workout is over. Unfortunately, because weight training often results in a corresponding increase in weight due to increased muscle mass, many women abandon their strength-training efforts, opting instead for strictly cardiovascular activities.However, researchers suggest combining aerobic exercise with regular strength training for maximum benefit.
